New Driving Laws for Indiana Teens

You've heard the phrase, "Don't text and drive!" Earlier this month, that phrase became a law for many Indiana drivers. Earlier this month, a law passed to help save lives and decrease crash risks for drivers under 21 years of age. Though texting and driving was already banned, this new driving law prohibits any sort of telecommunication device, including bluetooth devices, with the only exception being for 911 emergency calls.

According to, the risk of a car crash is four times higher when drivers use cell phones. This law is meant to scale back accidents related to cell phones, with the hope of ending them entirely.
